Wat Arun, The Temple of Dawn

Standing proudly overlooking the Chao Phraya  River is Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn.  It is a temple named after the Hindu God Aruna.  As the sun rises on Bangkok’s horizon in the early morning, Wat Arun shimmers in the light.  Evening views of Wat Arun are magnificent from the other side of the Chao Phraya River.

Wat Arun is one of my personal favorite temples in Bangkok due to its waterfront view and magnificent construction.
